Ship Sale-Leaseback Financing Services

A sale-leaseback lets you release the equity in a vessel you already own while continuing to operate it. Delos buys the ship and charters it back to you on a bareboat basis for 5 to 25 years, typically with options to buy it back during or at the end of the charter.

Who It Suits

Owners who want to refinance bank debt, fund fleet growth or free up capital without issuing equity. We work with counterparties rated from CCC to AA, implied or actual, and we know how to structure for owners that banks will not lend to.

What We Finance

All maritime asset types: tankers, dry bulk carriers, container ships, car carriers, gas carriers, offshore support vessels, cruise ships and specialty tonnage. We put growing emphasis on fuel-efficient and dual-fuel ships.

How It Works

  1. Provide vessel details, charter specifics, and required funding amount.
  2. We give indicative terms after reviewing the vessel and your business.
  3. We sign a memorandum of agreement and a bareboat charter, complete inspections and close.
